The Facts:

People with disabilities have for long been under looked due to various aspects, some think disabled people are not supposed to get help because of the tendency of associating disabilities with superstition.

The Action:

Uganda Disabled Women’s Association’s  goal is contributing to the process of restoring hope and improving the quality of life of women with disabilities and their families while continuing to raise awareness on the plight of people with disabilities in Uganda. It will help solve the unemployment rate among the most vulnerable where they will be able to access small loans to start own businesses. The NGO will employ a program officer, a cashier, a credit officer and a driver.

The Impact:

To facilitate active, participatory development among magnalized grass root people with disabilities and children of people with disabilities in improving their living conditions.
